Virginia High School Runner Charged with Assault After Striking Competitor with Baton

Alaila Everett, a senior at I.C. Norcom High School, has been charged with assault and battery following an incident during the Virginia High School League Championship. During the 4x200 relay race, Everett was captured on video striking Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker in the head with a metal baton.
